Baseball Recap: Magee Triumphs

While Magee put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Mendenhall. The Magee Trojans walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Mendenhall Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Jeremiah Cole, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Akavion Griffith, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Magee now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mendenhall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Magee will face off against Mize at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Mendenhall will need to watch out since Northeast Jones has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
