Soccer Recap: NCSSM: Morganton Gets the Win

NCSSM: Morganton gave up the first goal on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Queen's Grant Stallions. Gavin Tarrant had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble NCSSM: Morganton got from the refs.

NCSSM: Morganton hit Queen's Grant with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bertan Karamavruc, Tarrant, and Ford Butner.

NCSSM: Morganton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four contests. As for Queen's Grant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

NCSSM: Morganton has already played their next matchup, a 6-3 loss against Piedmont Community Charter on the 15th. As for Queen's Grant, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Carolina International on the 15th.
