Recap: Don Bosco Prep Ironmen vs. Pope John XXIII

On Saturday, The Don Bosco Prep Ironmen faced the Pope John XXIII in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Don Bosco Prep came out on top against Pope John XXIII by a score of 28-17. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Don Bosco Prep was the (much) better team in the second half.

Don Bosco Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dante Deluca, who rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns. Logan Bush and his 104 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Don Bosco Prep's win.

Don Bosco Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Pope John XXIII, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
