Volleyball Recap: Chesapeake's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Northeast last Thursday, Chesapeake came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Meade Mustangs on Wednesday, falling 3-0. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Chesapeake was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-23.

Gillian Price paced Chesapeake's offense, picking up 13 kills. Price got some help from Morgan Burr and her nine assists. Finally, Eva Bombard kept Chesapeake's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chesapeake fell to 3-1. As for Meade, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Chesapeake has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Arundel on the 25th. As for Meade, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against North County on the 25th.
