Soccer Game Preview: Smithfield vs. Windsor

The Smithfield Packers will face off against the Windsor Dukes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Smithfield's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Heritage as Smithfield made off with a 9-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Smithfield in their matchups with Heritage: they've now won three in a row.

Smithfield's offense was hitting Heritage from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Julianna Jones led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Windsor hadn't done well against Northampton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Windsor sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Northampton.

Smithfield suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Windsor in their previous matchup back in March of 2017. Can Smithfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
