Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeland). They managed a 71-65 win over the Liberal Bulldogs on Friday. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 60-51 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lakeland got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Logan Moran out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, Moran is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Rucker, who posted 11 points along with five boards and five steals.

Lakeland's record now sits at 12-13. As for Liberal, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Lakeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-61 defeat against Weaubleau on the 24th. Liberal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
