Baseball Recap: St. Patrick Comes Up Short

If St. Patrick was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of West Harrison on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Vancleave Bulldogs by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Fighting Irish have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

St. Patrick's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Vancleave, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Coincidentally, St. Patrick and Vancleave will both be playing St. Martin the next time they take the field. The Fighting Irish will head out to face the Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
