Basketball Game Preview: East Eagles vs. Franklin Bulldogs

East is a perfect 4-0 against Franklin since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The East Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Franklin Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. East will be strutting in after a victory while Franklin will be coming in after a loss.

East is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past School of the Arts 84-41 on Thursday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Silverhawks are ranked 607th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 48-36 to Avon.

The win made it two in a row for East and bumps their season record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Everything came up roses for East against Franklin in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 76-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for East since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
