Alamo Navajo has gone 9-1 against Mountainair recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 2:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Alamo Navajo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Mountainair likes a good challenge.

Alamo Navajo saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against Springer by a score of 83-75.

Meanwhile, Mountainair won against Quemado on Thursday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Mountainair secured a 48-43 W over Varsity Opponent. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mountainair has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Alamo Navajo, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Alamo Navajo skirted past Mountainair 62-59 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alamo Navajo since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
