Basketball Game Preview: Claiborne Christian Crusaders vs. Castor Tigers

The Claiborne Christian Crusaders are taking a road trip to challenge the Castor Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Claiborne Christian turned things around against Glenbrook on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Apaches as they made off with a 56-33 victory. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Castor was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 72-68 to Quitman. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now lost three in a row.

Claiborne Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Castor, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Claiborne Christian suffered a grim 91-67 defeat to Castor in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can Claiborne Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
