Baseball Game Preview: Timberline Wolves vs. Meridian Warriors

The Timberline Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Meridian Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Things were looking good for Timberline after they put the first runs on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Kuna by a score of 5-4.

Will Nafzger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Aidan Messerschmitt, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against Bishop Kelly, falling 10-2. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly eight runs.

Meridian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Marquardt, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Timberline dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
