Baseball Recap: Otto-Eldred Terrors vs. Coudersport Falcons        
        
		
            Otto-Eldred extended their losing streak  to four  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 6-8 in the process. They came up short against  the Coudersport Falcons, falling  8-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  15-0  back in April.
 Otto-Eldred saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ryan Schenfield, who  went 3-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
As for Coudersport, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs over those games.
On Coudersport's side,  Mason Roessner made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   seven  hits (and not a single walk). Roessner has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Quinn Kratzer and  Mitchell Taylor did most of the damage at the plate:  Kratzer  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI, while  Taylor  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases and two  runs. That's the most  hits  Taylor has posted since back in April.
 Coming up, Otto-Eldred will face off against Cameron County at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.62  runs per game on average), something the Terrors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Coudersport, they will square off against Elk County Catholic at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
