Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln entered their game against Mitchell on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lincoln Patriots fell 69-58 to the Mitchell Kernels. The loss put an end to the Patriots' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lincoln fell to 10-1. As for Mitchell, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-18 victory against Tea on the 1st. As for Mitchell, they will challenge Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mitchell is facing Jefferson at the right time seeing as Jefferson is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
