Softball Recap: Galion's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Galion can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bellevue Redmen with a sharp 7-1 win. The Tigers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 11-0).

Sara Holt was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Holt was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Madelyn Schieber was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bianca White, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Galion's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Bellevue, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galion will face off against Highland at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bellevue, they will square off against Norwalk at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
