Basketball Recap: Roseburg Takes a Loss

Roseburg won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They came up short against the Sheldon Irish, falling 71-46. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Irish are ranked 49th).

Nathan Sheley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sheldon, going 8 for 14 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points. Another player making a difference was Eli Forsha, who went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points.

Roseburg's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Sheldon, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Roseburg has already played their next game (against South Medford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sheldon has already played their next contest, a 61-49 victory against South Eugene on the 28th.
