After a string of three wins, Crestview's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spencerville Bearcats. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Crestview saw an underclassman step up: freshman Zoe Ross shot 63% from the field on her way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaci Gregory, who posted two points along with six boards and five assists.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Spencerville, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Crestview will take on Fort Jennings in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Spencerville and Marion Local will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
