Volleyball Preview: Manzano Monarchs vs. Eldorado Golden Eagles        
        
		
             Manzano hasn't had much luck against Eldorado recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. After both having extra time off,  both  will dust off their jerseys to  take on  one another  at 6:00  p.m. Eldorado took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Manzano, who comes in off a win.
 Manzano took a loss when they played away from home  on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Del Norte with a sharp  3-0 win.
 Manzano's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Del Norte between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20,  25-18.
  Neveah Lopez-Robles and  Alyssa Martinez were among the main playmakers for Manzano as the former  had six  digs and 14  assists and the latter  had six  digs and 12  assists. Lopez-Robles is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 13 or more in the last four games she's  played.
 Manzano  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 13  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least nine  aces in five consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of four wins, Eldorado's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They came up short against  Cibola, falling  3-0. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17,  25-16.
 Manzano now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Eldorado, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
 Manzano suffered a grim  3-0 defeat to Eldorado  when the teams last played  back in September of 2023. Can Manzano avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
