Volleyball Recap: Fayetteville Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Fayetteville took on Brazos on Friday. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since August 15th.

Cambree Denham paced Fayetteville's offense, picking up seven kills. Denham got some help from Scotti Beseda and her 17 assists. Beseda was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

The victory snapped Fayetteville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-4 record. As for Brazos, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Fayetteville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Poth on the 22nd. As for Brazos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Gonzales on the 22nd.
