Basketball Game Preview: Owyhee Storm vs. Rigby Trojans

The Owyhee Storm will square off against the Rigby Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Owyhee is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.

Owyhee is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Centennial, who was ranked second at the time (Owyhee was ranked first). The Storm put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 65-42 win on Friday. The Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rigby). They came out on top against Canyon Ridge by a score of 81-74 on Thursday.

Owyhee better keep an eye on Weston Walker. He was instrumental in Rigby's win, dropping a double-double with 33 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Bradley, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

Rigby was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Rigby's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Owyhee, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.
