Alie Bangura Turns in Season-Best Performance

Alie Bangura produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Middle Tennessee Christian to the win on Friday. Bangura rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making six total tackles.

Middle Tennessee Christian's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cougars challenges Providence Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Car'Lando Barton continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made two total tackles.

Friendship Christian moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. Barton and Friendship Christian will take on Ezell-Harding Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Shy Murphy produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Middle Tennessee Christian to the win on Friday. Murphy picked up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown.incredibly, Murphy got all that yardage with just one huge grab

King's Academy had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Murphy it was a similar story. When Murphy last faced the Lions back in October of 2023, he rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

Le'Marlo Nichols put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He rushed for 43 yards, and also threw for 96 yards and a touchdown.
