Baseball Game Preview: Eastside Catholic Crusaders vs. Seattle Prep Panthers

For the second straight game, Eastside Catholic will face off against Seattle Prep. Eastside Catholic will welcome Seattle Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Eastside Catholic got the win against Seattle Prep by a conclusive 7-1. The Crusaders have beaten the Panthers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Tristan Weigum spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has become a key player for Eastside Catholic: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Long, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Tyler Long, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Eastside Catholic now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Seattle Prep, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
