The Steamboat Springs Sailors will head out on the road to square off against the Glenwood Springs Demons at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Glenwood Springs will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Steamboat Springs extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Sailors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Moffat County.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Steamboat Springs took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-13, 25-13.

Steamboat Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Macee Wettlaufer, who had 13 digs. Wettlaufer has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played. Sammy Coleman was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

Steamboat Springs was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moffat County only served three.

Meanwhile, Glenwood Springs got the win against Summit on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The Demons haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Glenwood Springs' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-10.

Steamboat Springs' record now sits at 12-6. As for Glenwood Springs, their record is now 13-2.
