New Life Camp fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against St. David on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the St. David's Warriors by a score of 47-44. The Storm's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Hannah Brown and Julie Kranz certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Brown went 7 for 13 on her way to 19 points and five rebounds, while Kranz posted 15 points and seven boards. Brown has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

St. David's found their leader in freshman Anna Hauser, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hauser has scored all season. Jordan Holmes was another key player, putting up ten points.

New Life Camp's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for St. David's, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

When New Life Camp and St. David's next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. New Life Camp will try to stop Chatham HomeSchool's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, St. David's will try to stop St. Mary's five-game winning streak when the meet at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
