Recap: Mountain House Mustangs vs. Ceres Bulldogs

The Mountain House Mustangs had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They strolled past Ceres with points to spare, taking the game 62-45. Given Mountain House's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Ceres is ranked 622nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mountain House was led to victory by Coldin Parker and Jordan Assefa. Parker scored 12 points, while Assefa scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Clay, who scored eight points.

Mountain House's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.67 points. As for Ceres, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Mountain House will take on Grace Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Grace Davis is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Ceres, they will head out on the road to face off against Lathrop at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Lathrop focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Wednesday.
