Baseball Recap: Friends Takes a Loss

Friends was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Quakers of the 19-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Friends' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Friends will challenge Beth Tfiloh at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Quakers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they will square off against Key at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Obezags have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
