Basketball Recap: Bennett County Warriors vs. Kadoka Kougars
Bennett County lost against Kadoka back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bennett County Warriors fell 63-55 to the Kadoka Kougars. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Kougars 15-9 in the first quarter.
Leading Kadoka to victory were Kole Hermann and Gus Stout. Hermann posted 24 points and six rebounds, while Stout had 20 points along with seven boards and four steals. That's the most steals Stout has posted since back in February of 2024. Jared Nemecek was another key player, putting up four points in addition to six assists and four steals.
Bennett County dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Kadoka, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bennett County will square off against St. Francis Indian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kadoka, they will take on New Underwood at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th. One thing working in Kadoka's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
