Baseball Game Preview: Fullerton Indians vs. Calvary Chapel Eagles

For the second straight game, Fullerton will face off against Calvary Chapel. The Indians will host the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Fullerton's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Calvary Chapel's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fullerton's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Calvary Chapel by a score of 5-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Declan Fitzgerald tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mason Park, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Velasquez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Calvary Chapel has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14-1 record this season. As for Fullerton, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8-1.
