After a string of 11 wins, Fremd's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Glenbard West Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hilltoppers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Fremd sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 14-25, 25-20.

Fremd's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Glenbard West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Fremd wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Oswego on the 20th. As for Glenbard West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Saint Ignatius College Prep on the 20th.
