Basketball Recap: Penn Yan Academy Comes Up Short

If Penn Yan Academy was feeling good fresh off their 45-18 takedown of Marion last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Penn Yan Academy Mustangs took a 47-33 bruising from the Canisteo-Greenwood Chargers on Tuesday. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Penn Yan Academy fell to 2-1. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penn Yan Academy will venture away from home to challenge Newark at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, they will head out to square off against Addison at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
