Baseball Recap: Central Cambria Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

On Tuesday Central Cambria's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Forest Hills Rangers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted since April 20, 2024.

Owen Harringer tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits.

At the plate, Central Cambria let Grady Snyder and Brayden Blasko run wild. Snyder went 3-for-4 with one triple and one run, while Blasko went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Blasko brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Howard, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Central Cambria pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average this season. As for Forest Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Central Cambria is taking a road trip to square off against Somerset at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest Hills, they will face off against Bellefonte at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
