Soccer Game Preview: Sage Creek vs. Canyon Crest Academy

The Sage Creek Bobcats will venture away from home to challenge the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sage Creek is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Things were looking good for Sage Creek after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of El Camino by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by just one goal.

Fynn McConnell and Aaron Johnson scored both of Sage Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, Canyon Crest Academy kept a clean sheet against Mission Vista on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Mission Vista. Given the Ravens' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Mission Vista are ranked 609th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canyon Crest Academy now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Sage Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-3.
