Basketball Recap: Meridian Comes Up Short

Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pinconning Spartans. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 52-51.

Meridian's record is now 8-10. As for Pinconning, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Meridian has already played their next matchup (against Beaverton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pinconning will challenge Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
