Football Game Preview: Jefferson Hawks vs. Cedar Falls Tigers

Jefferson hasn't had much luck against Cedar Falls recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Jefferson has given up an average of 34.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jefferson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hempstead on Friday. Even if the Hawks couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cedar Falls took on Linn-Mar on Friday. The Tigers fell 21-13 to the Lions. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cedar Falls' loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Jefferson took a serious blow against Cedar Falls in their previous meeting back in October of 2019, falling 28-0. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
