It's playoff time, and Parker had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Oxford Yellow Jackets 42-21 on Friday. Considering the Thundering Herd have won seven games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Reese continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 226 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 35 yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chancellor Sparks, who rushed for 107 yards and one score.

Parker's run defense was locked in: Oxford could only muster 1.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Nedarius Davis for the heroic effort on defense: he. Parker didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.4.

Oxford lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Beau Mims, who picked up 56 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He also put up two receiving touchdowns, which were his first of the season. Aj Ford was another key player, picking up 95 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The victory made it two in a row for Parker and bumps their season record up to 8-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points over those games. As for Oxford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Parker will face off against Muscle Shoals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thundering Herd will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. Oxford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
