Football Game Preview: Deltona Wolves vs. Innovation Bulls

The Deltona Wolves will challenge the Innovation Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Deltona beat Pine Ridge 12-6. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Panthers are ranked 221st).

Meanwhile, Innovation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of Dr. Phillips. While the Bulls had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Panthers 13-0.

Deltona has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.4 points on average over those games. As for Innovation, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
