Basketball Recap: Choctaw County Triumphs

Choctaw County won the last time they faced Sweet Water, and Kamya Straight did her part to make sure it happened again. The Choctaw County Tigers blew past the Sweet Water Bulldogs 59-6 on Tuesday thanks in part to Straight, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Choctaw County's points.

Another player making a difference was Rhianna Mitchell, who posted two points and four steals. Those four steals gave her a new career-high.

Choctaw County's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Sweet Water, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Choctaw County will host University Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sweet Water, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-3 loss against Marengo on the 23rd.
