Baseball Game Preview: Masterman vs. Friends' Central

Masterman will head out on the road to face off against Friends' Central at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Masterman proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 19) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Carver High School of Engineering & Science.

Daniel Carrera was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Friends' Central beat Franklin Towne 11-6 on Wednesday.

Friends' Central pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Masterman, their record now sits at 2-0.
