Football Recap: Midlothian Takes a Loss

After soaring to 49 points the game before, Midlothian was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were outmatched by the Huguenot Falcons and fell 57-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

A big part of Huguenot's victory came down to the chemistry between Charles Scott Jr and his top target Iveon Lewis. Scott Jr threw for 315 yards and five TDs on only 18 passes while Lewis picked up 176 receiving yards and three scores. With that strong performance, Lewis is now averaging an impressive 118.2 receiving yards per game. Randal Robinson helped Scott Jr out on the ground, rushing for 121 yards on only 15 carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Midlothian fell to 4-1. As for Huguenot, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Midlothian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 43-0 loss against Manchester on the 3rd. As for Huguenot, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-3 victory against L.C. Bird on the 3rd.
