After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Springfield, Streetsboro was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Norton Panthers 9-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on April 7th.

The team relied heavily on Khloe Cutright, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Hailey Miller was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Streetsboro has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Norton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Streetsboro will square off against Woodridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Norton, they will challenge Dalton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
