Baseball Game Preview: Ritchie County Rebels vs. Williamstown Yellowjackets

Ritchie County is 0-10 against Williamstown since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Rebels will host the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m.

Ritchie County is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Wednesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Braxton County.

Bryce Satterfield spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Turner Shriver made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Williamstown made sure to put some runs up on the board against St. Marys on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets blew past the Blue Devils 13-1. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Ritchie County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14-1. As for Williamstown, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
