Softball Recap: Salem Academy Makes It Ten in a Row on the Road

While Salem Academy put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Western Christian. The Crusaders were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Pioneers. The win continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won six in a row.

Salem Academy's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Western Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem Academy will challenge Clatskanie at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Western Christian, they will square off against St. Paul at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
