After a string of eight wins, Greybull's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Tongue River Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat back in September.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 25-16.

Greybull's loss came despite strong showings from Shayne Cheatham and Sherlyn Diaz Rios. Cheatham had 12 digs, while Diaz Rios had eight digs. Cheatham is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Greybull's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Tongue River, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Greybull will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rocky Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Tongue River, they will square off against Burns at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
