South Johnston put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Smithfield-Selma Spartans a 19-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

South Johnston's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Smithfield-Selma, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, South Johnston and Smithfield-Selma will both be playing West Johnston the next time they take the field. The Spartans will head out to face the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
