Adding to the longest winning streak in Pac-7 this week, Atascadero beat St. Joseph 35-10. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Greyhounds.
The Knights lost to Atascadero 35-10 last week, the largest margin of any game. Curry Parham was a bright spot for St. Joseph, as he threw for 172 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 28 yards in the loss.
Parham was a passing and rushing force as Dustin Davis' team fell to Vic Cooper's team. Parham's key target this week was Chris Barganier, who caught 5 passes for 66 yards.
Mikey Gutierrez threw for 182 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 16-24 with 1 interception.
Izaiah Cooks was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 86 yards on 21 carries as the Greyhounds defeated Righetti. Marc Martin also contributed to the rushing game with 42 yards on the ground.
6-foot-3 quarterback Parham of the Knights is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,305. He has also thrown 9 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is St. Denis. The Arroyo Grande star has 40 catches for 545 yards.
In 151 carries Colin Cooper has accumulated 923 yard this year.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when St. Joseph and Pioneer Valley face off next week.
A big matchup in Pac-7 this week will be when Paso Robles takes on the Eagles. As it stands, the Bearcats are in first, while Arroyo Grande is in third.
Paso Robles and the Panthers played the closest game in the league this week, with Paso Robles eventually emerging with a 31-28 victory.
