Baseball Recap: Meadowdale Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lynnwood last Monday, Meadowdale came back down to earth. The Mavericks fell just short of the Shorewood Stormrays by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kealoha Kepo'O-Sabate was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meadowdale dropped their record down to 3-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Shorewood, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

While Meadowdale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
