Softball Recap: Matawan Regional Find Success

Matawan Regional hadn't done well against Middletown North recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Huskies skirted past the Lions 3-1. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Matawan Regional's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10. As for Middletown North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Matawan Regional didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Sayreville on the 20th. Middletown North has also already played their next game (against Mount St. Dominic Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
