Honesdale is 7-2 against Western Wayne since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hornets will take on the Wildcats at 4:15 p.m. Honesdale has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 14.

Honesdale fell victim to Mid Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 13-0 to the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Western Wayne made easy work of Lakeland on Monday and carried off a 12-6 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Adysen Wargo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Wargo was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Black, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Hannah DeStefano was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Western Wayne kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Western Wayne's record now sits at 6-10. As for Honesdale, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.

Honesdale beat Western Wayne 6-3 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
