Recap: Centaurus Warriors vs. Silver Creek Raptors
The Centaurus Warriors suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 35-15 walloping at the hands of Silver Creek. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Centaurus has scored all season.
Clara Halloran was Centaurus' leading scorer, having posted five points.
Cate Keenan held things down on the boards with nine rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Izzy Spagnoletti was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight steals and five rebounds for Silver Creek. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Spagnoletti has scored at least a third of Silver Creek's points.
Centaurus has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Silver Creek, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-6.
Centaurus won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Holy Family at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th. Holy Family will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. As for Silver Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mead at 5:30 p.m. Mead has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
