Softball Recap: Menard Takes a Loss

After flying high against Goldthwaite last Monday, Menard came back down to earth. The Menard Yellowjackets came up short against the San Saba Armadillos on Tuesday, falling 22-11. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 23-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2017.

Kailey Morris led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Summerville, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4.

Menard's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for San Saba, their victory ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menard will square off against Cross Plains at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Saba, they will face off against Strawn at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
