Volleyball Recap: Chuckey-Doak Has No Trouble Against Seymour

Seymour typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Chuckey-Doak proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Chuckey-Doak's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-17, 25-14.

Cristen Bishop was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and seven assists. Those ten digs gave her a new career-high. Carlene Bishop also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Despite the loss, Seymour saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isabella Hylan had 22 digs and six assists. Hylan has been hot, having posted 22 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Chuckey-Doak's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Seymour, with the defeat, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 22-12.

Chuckey-Doak has already played their next match (against Creek Wood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Seymour does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
